Asumi Aida, a normal high school student, starts playing the popular MMORPG, The World R:X, but after acquiring a certain item, a gang of players involved in illegal activities in real life attempts to attack her. Luckily, Tobias, a very strong and attractive player, comes to her rescue, although he seems to do so only because he’s interested in why those players wanted such a common item. Joining forces with Azumi’s childhood friend, Eri, the three start an investigation to uncover a criminal operation.
This manga serves as the prequel to the anime “.hack//Quantum”.
